"What family doesn't have its ups and downs?" (Eleanor of Aquitaine in The Lion in Winter)  I just read an article, which may be old news to you Mark and Major, that the Earl of Yarmouth just lost a Court battle to gain control of his family's estate.  The suit was against the Trustees of the Estate but the Earl's parents and his siblings came in on the side of the Trustees.  The family are the indirect descendants of Jane Seymour.  The story sounded a little parallel to Harry's issues with his family.  The Earl is not opposed to reconciliation with his family as well.

This was in the Daily Telegraph a few weeks ago. He is William Seymour the son and heir of the 9th Marquess of Hertford descended from Jane Seymour's brother Edward, Duke of Somerset who was Regent for the boy King Edward VI in the 1540s.

The dispute centres around the Ragley Hall estate in Warwickshire and is yet another example of a family feud being aired through the Courts.

I noticed a few years ago a growing trend among wealthy young people who didn't have control over that wealth to seek emancipation from their parents as young as 16 because of money.  It seemed to be more prevalent in "new money" cases, but I guess "old money" has its impetuous youth as well.

Back in the day if Britain got a cough, the world got pneumonia. The world relied upon the British market and trade and the modern world was built on that dynamo. Today it’s the US, the world’s most important market, the world’s new dynamo and it’s essential to world trade the US economy does well, therefore it needs a business brain at the helm, not a feckin social worker
