After witnessing the antics of the kids on spring break in Florida, I felt compelled to post this quote.

I haven't yet bought War and Peace just so I can admire it on the shelf as I doubt if I'll ever read such a huge thing, but I might (buy it that is not read it).

Back when my granddaughter was in grade one at their school Christmas gathering, the teachers broke the different class down into supervised activity rooms. For example a small fish ponds was set up in one room and a small bowling game in another. The school Librarian had the kids pick short storey books off the shelf for her to read out loud to them. As the evening was coming to an end and she was about to stop the kids being kids said can you read one more for us. She said ok just one and send a small boy over the the shelf to pick one out. I just happened to be standing by the shelf and the boy picked up a book to read and the teacher was looking the other way and wasn't paying attention and I said out loud he has one and it's called War and Peace.

When she turned around to face me the look on her face was priceless but then she seen me smiling and had to have a little giggle herself.
