Date Posted:2024-10-09 08:26:30Copy HTML Growing old is something you do if you're lucky It is impossible to design anything that is foolproof because fools are ingenious Before I speak I have something important to say Groucho Marx You know that look that women get when they want sex? Re:QUOTES Date Posted:2024-12-07 04:33:26Copy HTML "Margorie McCall, Lived once, buried twice." Gravestone marker. This woman was from Ireland & died in 1705...........maybe. There is a typical Irish bullshit myth surrounding her death. |

Re:QUOTES Date Posted:2024-12-07 05:20:50Copy HTML OK Shula, the woman dies wearing an expensive ring. The husband can't get the ring off of her finger because of swelling so she is buried wearing it. That night grave robbers dig her up & they can't get the ring off either, so they decide to cut her finger off. While doing so the woman wakes up screaming in pain. The grave robbers are scared to death on the spot. The woman walks home & knocks on the door. Her husband hears the knock & remarks to the kids, "that sounds like your mother's knock." He answers the door & finds his formerly dead wife with a bloody finger but still sporting her ring. He drops dead. The woman then resumes her life, marries again, has more children, & really dies at a much later date. Sounds Irish sans the leprechauns. |

Re:QUOTES Date Posted:2024-12-08 08:52:38Copy HTML I like the one that Churchill supposedly said of Clement Attlee, but didn't - "An empty carriage drew up outside Downing Street and Attlee got out" He did describe him as a sheep in sheep's clothing though, which is a classic. Despite his many political jibes Churchill liked Atlee and Atlee liked him. He even went as far as saying that Churchill's Dardenelles plan as the most imaginative plan of the war, which certainly sets him aside the likes of me, as I also thought it was a great plan.... badly carried out. |
