Postage stamps are ridiculously expensive over here and delivery not as good as it should be. The Royal Mail prioritizes parcels over letters as they bring in more revenue. 

I've always been a postal groupie, but service is not as good as it should be anymore.  

I remember twice a day delivery. 

The same here. Now they're planning no more letter deliveries on a Saturday and every second day for 2nd class letters. No reduction in price though despite the reduction in service.

Left wing governments are right, they do, especially young lads. As the saying goes, young, dumb and full of cum. They are going to sort out the world, as soon as they sort out their bank overdraft. Been there, done that.

I remember celebrating Bastille Day one year when the kids were small.  I thought it was important for their cultural upbringing to learn about other countries' holidays.  Tiny doll heads in tiny baskets at the French Toast breakfast table didn't raise the patriotic spirit like father's 4th of July fireworks, though.

But today I am thinking of Dr. Manet.  I just finished making a tiny pair of high heel shoes for a 10 1/2" vintage teen fashion doll.  My Sydney Carton would have said I was crazy.
