A British surgeon was convicted of assault after "branding" two patient's livers he was transplanting with his initials. It was discovered by other surgeons during further procedures. The liver has an extraordinary ability to heal itself. Take away half of it and it will grow back. It can also absorb and neutralise extraordinary amounts of alcohol, just ask Tom. |
