The biggest enemy of the British army today is affluence. The British army throughout history has almost always depended on a cause, or poverty to swell its ranks. The armed forces and looking back, everybody I knew joined the army, I knew nobody who joined the navy or the airforce. My brother in law joined in 66 and coming from a large family got his first pair of new shoes in his life. The country is affluent now, so I suppose that old reservoir of naturally raised hard men has mainly gone now. Corporation estates were natural breeding grounds and they have gone in the old sense. Recruits now are no less tough but are very few in number by comparison. No matter who they are though, the army has a way of making them into fighting men, 300 years of tradition ensures that but what about the forthcoming civil war? What then for them?

As you know, we like to house our foreign born criminals, or asylum seekers, as the lefty’s like to label them, in nice, comfortable, warm every convenience available hotels, where their rooms are cleaned daily, their preferable meals are supplied, free dental and medical care, their washing taken care of, along with their mobile phone bills, they have government paid guards to stop prying eyes 24 hours a day but oh dear, it’s been revealed that 90 criminal charges have been laid against 41 of these poor souls from one hotel alone.
