Even at the height of The Troubles in Northern Ireland the majority of Catholics were appalled by the violence, the same with Protestants and the Unionist terror groups. All they wanted was to live in peace. Upbringing had a lot to do with it, one community was taught that the other was a threat and they believed it. Those with a vested interest fuelled their prejudices.  

The main difference is that no terrorist in Northern Ireland ever went on a voluntary suicide mission, they always hoped to come back alive; not so with many of these Islamists and how do you stop someone who isn't afraid to die for their cause.

How do you view the Farage/Musk falling out? Who's right, Farage for rejecting extremist views in order to make Reform electable to "ordinary" folk, or Musk for highlighting Farage's supposed weakness? Or is Musk simply a knob who should keep his nose out?

Farage is astute enough to loosen ties with Musk in favour of cultivating a better image for Reform, he'll have to if he wants to win enough seats to become truly relevant.
