Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-12 05:42:02Copy HTML Over here the Queen has missed the State Opening of Parliament on health grounds, she's only missed it twice before when she was pregnant. She's increasingly avoiding public occasions that require any form of activity, she's not ill, just very old. To say that Prince Charles has become Regent in all but name would not be stretching it too far. Geez Mark I read that first line fast and thought she can't be pregnant again. Yes Charles has become Regent and I was surprised to hear he has left Andrew and daughters an Harry and wife off the Guest list already. Explain for the Yankees why the crown is sitting beside him. The Imperial State Crown represents the authority on the Monarch. Normally the Queen would wear it, but in recent years it has been placed beside her, as with Prince Charles above as, of course, he cannot wear the Crown just yet. The Crown makes the journey from the Tower of London to the Houses of Parliament in its own carriage. And he wouldn't wear that crown when thew time comes, isn't that right Mark? The King has his own crown He will wear that Crown at the opening of Parliament when he is King unless age prevents him as it did with the Queen a few years ago. The Imperial State Crown is the symbol of the Monarch's authority and as such is either worn or at least present in Parliament at the opening of a new session. The last King to wear it was George VI in 1950. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-12 09:49:33Copy HTML America has reached another Mile Stone today. This virus has managed to kill more that died in the war of Independance, the war of 1812, the American Civil war, the Spanish War, the First world war, the Second world war, the Vietnam war, the Iraq war and the Afganistan war put together. But there are still people who won't take the vaccine or even wear a mask. The majority of them live in Red States and come from the poorer classes. How is a President going to stop it if the people won't listen. How will a President cure, world supply and demand when he really has no means of improving or stopping it while this virus continues. How will he fix run away inflation that will hit all countries in the world like they are hitting his own caused by this virus. How does he stop an unjust War that he didn't even start without it spreading to his own. Let's see what solutions this group can come up with while remembering their not just your countries problems but world problems common to all countries right now. We all have people who won't take a shot in the arm or wear a mask. We all are are having problems with supply and demand caused by the virus, we all have problems with run away inflation right now, and we are all involved in a unjust war we didn't start and none of us want it spreading to our country. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-13 07:58:26Copy HTML You wear a mask if you want to, in fact, you can wear one for me too. Have you taken the time to find out just how many thousands have died from the vaccine itself, not to mention the life long illnesses, amputations etc resulting from it? Of course not but how you miss all that mass governmental control the virus afforded. Sweden never shut down from day one, look into what happened there. |

Of course not but how you miss all that mass governmental control the virus afforded. Sweden never shut down from day one, look into what happened there. More bull, do you know how many around the world haven't died from getting a shot. Let's just say it's in the billions. And your trying to compare that to thousands. The long term illness was in people who at first didn't get the shots but caught the virus from someone else and it went untreated for too long. Many of the people who only had mild symtoms from the virus fell in this category. The virus is still out there and as you know has mutated a few times already. People are still dying from this new stain by the thousands in the States, so people should still where a mask in public places and get the shots if they haven't. Every Health organization around the world is saying the same thing. Shots and Masks are the only defence so far against gettng it or passing it. I'll take my advise from them over my mates in a Bar, any day. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-14 12:05:22Copy HTML Masks are a rarity over here now, some old people still wear them on buses or in shops and I think some hospitals or doctors' surgeries advise them. I gave them up months ago. In my opinion the vaccination is a wise and sensible thing. I had covid at the beginning of April, but having had my third jab in December it was nothing more than a bad cold that lasted for a week. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

I'm for vaccination, as I had all three but that was my choice, my risk to take. I've had covid too, about five weeks ago. The symptoms lasted three days but the bad chest is still ongoing. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-14 06:58:22Copy HTML Looks like you and I had it at the same time. Mine was akin to a bad cold but no after effects since. I suspect smokers experience after effects as covid is basically a lung infection. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-14 07:11:53Copy HTML covid conspricy Are you daft Art. Where did you come up with this foolishness, from one of your no name sites. Tell it to the millions of families that lost love ones from the virus world wide because they also thought it was only a Government conspiracy so wouldn't get the shots or wear a mask out in puplic places. Each new strain that comes out, seems to be able to spread faster than the last one. If you have had your shots it doesn't seem to hit you as hard as when it first came and shots weren't available yet. I went to a Celebration of Life today and a lot of people weren't wearing masks. I was surprised at how many of the had the mild form of covid and only had the same symtoms that Mark and you had. I did manage to slip the question in did they have their 3 shots and all said yes and were glad they did. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-18 03:00:02Copy HTML Well I've finally found a photo but I can't get it smaller. This was taken in 74 at Cadwell Park race circuit. Now you know what a shoestring racer looks like! Leathers too small for me, leg zip broke. It was the first meeting of the year in late March and it was absolutely freezing and as you sometimes had to wait, sat in the saddle, for up to 30 mins before you went out, I put my oil stained jumper on and never took it off. Notice the long hair out of the back of the helmet, something I hadn't noticed before. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-18 03:06:00Copy HTML This was the following season, Cadwell also, as a freelance cameraman there would take a pic, you paid him and he sent it through the post. Same bike, new fairing but I'd go through two or three a season because of crashes. The leathers were a bit flamboyant for the time, as most riders were still in black, or dark blues. I had a mate who was a professional speedway rider and they are glamorously attired. He was selling those red leathers cheap so I got them. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2022-05-23 02:23:21Copy HTML THE MEANING OF LIFE
Not the Monty Python episode, but sage advice from an old farmer to his grandson:
Cows do not "give" milk. In order to get milk from a cow you first must:
Provide a field for them to graze & a barn for housing.
Feed them grain, vitamins & medicine to keep them healthy.
Sit behind them on a stool when they are ready.
Tie their tails so you don't get whipped.
Hobble their legs so you don't get stomped.
Work away with your hands to fill the pail.
So you see, cows do not "GIVE" milk, you have to work for it & such is life. Now many people view the federal government as some kind of sacred cow. But remember, the federal government does not "GIVE" anything that they haven't "TAKEN" from someone else. You don't get anything is life without working for it.
Ass, gas, & grass, nobody rides for free - Grandpa didn't put it quite that way. |
