Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2026-05-29 08:40:47Copy HTML I’ve just finished watching the film to kill a Mockingbird. Had.the ‘ole bottom lip developing a quiver I can tell you but being British i naturally controlled it, a mixture of the film and old age I think. Gregory Peck was never better and the whole film was brilliantly put together. I think I should put that film into my top 10. |

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2026-05-31 09:23:50Copy HTML That's weird. I thought it was red meat that made men aggressive. Vegetarians are more likely to talk things over.

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2026-06-01 05:45:15Copy HTML A bit of Crusader history in the news today. Israel has captured Beaufort Castle in Lebanon. Its origins are unknown but it is thought to have been in existence by the time it was captured by the Crusaders led by Fulk, King of Jerusalem in 1139 and granted to the Lords of Sidon. It was retaken by the Saracens in 1190. Restored to the Kingdom of Jerusalem by treaty in 1240, sold to the Knights Templars in 1260 before being captured by Muslim forces once and for all in 1268. From 1923 to 1946 it lay within the French Mandated territory of Lebanon, now it's in Jewish hands. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Don't start another Date Posted:2026-06-01 11:20:59Copy HTML Shaking hands with your right hand (mostly dominant) was a way to show you had no weapon, could not draw a sword or dagger. Dion O'Banion would have to agree after rival mobsters entered his flower shop in Chicago. One reached out and shook O'Banion's hand disabling him. The other two proceeded to shoot him multiple times killing him instantly. It was in 1924. |
