I too sent Pete and Tom a message with a direct link to here.  PBA responded via instant message that he would join us "soon".  I have not heard back from Tom as of this morning.  The scuttle date for History Lovers is 29 April. 

I meant to tell you, Major, that if I can help at all, just let me know.  Non-owners of a site can do nothing in the way of changes.  What I can do is shuffle to History Lovers and tell you what buttons I found to do what.  Anything you want to explore is found in that "My Control Panel" button.

A new poll shows Le Pen beginning to surge ahead and tellingly, with the support of the young voters. Now the young are naturally left wingers, waiting for their bollocks to drop and develop a functioning brain, so for the youth to be on her side is very telling. However, I think Macron stole the last election, just as Biden did, it's a lefty habit and it has to be carefully watched.

If I click on the iAimoo button here it shows that the site exists and I can access it. However if I go direct to the Aimoo main page and type in Historylovers it says the site doesn't exist. So I can access it one way at least.

The latest polls put them equal, which has put the shits up the Dems. who have claimed they have been looking into possible.....wait for it.... Russian interference. I suggest if they truly need to find some, then they should look into their own back yard. It might be a little harder too find than Chinese interference, just ask Swalwell. Le Pen presents a dilemma in more ways than one for the establishment and the voter's consciences, as she intends to ease the burden on the French people by continuing to buy Russian oil and gas. The greatest issue of course is Islamic immigration and behaviour. which she alone has promised to take on. Paris continues to gather more and more Islamic no go zones, nationwide church desecration is at epidemic levels but it's another case which is gripping the French public at the moment and it's the case of a farmer being charged with murder after shooting dead one of four burglars who broke into his home. Macron has said he's opposed to self defence, seemingly ignoring a person's right to defend their homes and considering the farmer had his four year old daughter to defend, the French population are fully behind him. This case reflects entirely the same case that happened over here years ago, when a farmer shot dead one of a gang of burglars coming up his stairs in the middle of the night, he was charged and went to jail, much to the horror of the British population. The justice system decided to make an example of him and issue the warning..... we are the law in this country, not you. 70% of French people, which will include just about the whole of the white Christian French, want immigration stopped, Macron sees no problem with immigration, Le Pen will come down on it hard and she has the apparent support of the head of the French security services, who has come out and said France is heading for a civil war. I was telling people that ten years ago and I'll tell you something else, if civil war with muslims does break out in France, it will spread Europe wide. Once again, in a minority aggressive, in a majority oppressive and at the end of the day, Islam only tolerates itself. 

The run-off of the final two is on 24 April.

Nothing from Tommy yet? He posted on Historylovers on 16 March to say he was going on a holiday of undetermined duration, he made one post over there on 1 April saying nothing about his return, since then nothing. I keep looking in as once he's back he'll go there first.  

I'm loving it too.  If whoever owns Twitter doesn't want to sell to him, they will have to turn down Musk's 43B-dollar offer.  That's a chunk of change in anybody's pocket. 

I felt Tom's holiday message was a bit cryptic and Pete doesn't seem to have much interest in us anymore.  Have they run away together? 

Pete has been ill, his wife too, so we can forgive his absence. Tommy is being more mysterious. 

Shula, have you mentioned already the historical novelist Elizabeth Chadwick? If not her novels might be the kind of thing you'll like. In particular she's written a series about Eleanor of Aquitaine and another on William Marshal.
