I'm with you on the anti-Communist theme for sure. But Trump has badly misjudged the effects that his "go it alone" policy will have on world trade. He has sketched out the goal, the end result in his mind neglecting the fact that he has to get there first and his policies will not achieve that. "We're in transition" will only satisfy John and Mary Lunchbucket (thanks to Tommy for that phrase) before they start to think how many more years do we have go through getting poorer before we get to the Promised Land. The Chinese will run the course longer than US citizens will. 

I’ve told you, to the Chinese face is everything and when the huffing and puffing has run it’s course, they will approach the US for a deal. In fact they have already thrown the feelers out. As for money, the US has saved billions so far as a result. 

It is early days yet, the big US crash is coming and it'll take Trump with it and we'll be saved. 

But down today, too early for you to get too excited. We'll see this volatility for months yet, and volatility is the last thing the world needs.
