Date Posted:2022-12-29 05:10:13Copy HTML Don't know if you Island People get much of the American Weather reports over there but Beefalo NY took a terrible beating with a bomb snow storm. Numerous deaths because emergency crews couldn't get to strained people in their cars or homes. They are finding bodies in snow banks of people who were out walking in it. All roads had to be closed to local traffic for days until they could get them ploughed enough for emergency vehicles to get out. Even the large snow plough trucks were having to get rescued. People were running out of medicine in their homes and with the hydro out, wouldn't be able to run their gas or oil furnaces or even any electrical heating. Some people who had portable generators killed themselves for not venting them good enough and died of Carbon monoxide poisoning. Their water pipes were freezing up and most people wouldn't know that in cold weather to stop that from happening you have to keep a tap open and water flowing through the system. Tommy will correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure they got up to 4 Ft. of snow mixed with very strong winds. Question for Tommy. Did you get a chance to use your Generec power system to keep you going?

Re:BAD WEATHER. Date Posted:2023-07-17 05:29:44Copy HTML Just out of curiosity, are you seeing forest animals escape to the U.S.? I don't know which way they would run to safety but my heart goes out to all the little critters who are captive to Canadian cruelty. Also, I'm sorry you have to breathe their smoky air.

They go to the closest road and flag down passing cars and trucks and sell their babies for rides to Toronto. There was one VW bug that had 4 adult Grizzles seating in the back seat all buckled up when the car was stopped for speeding. The swallows are literally picking up the Moose and flying them a hundred miles or so out of the bush. All the air terminals are crowded and over booked with the mass exodus. At least 4 mice have died from being stepped on waiting their turn in cue. The beavers have all volunteered to stay behind to break their own dams to flood the forests. Nothing worse than the smell of burning beaver fur in the morning. How long have you been a member of QAnon? Are you sure your not Blonde. escape to the U.S.? What and then drown in NY State with all the flooding going on or die of heat exposure as soon as they cross the Border. These are Canadian Animals, not American ones. They have a bit of common sense. |

Re:BAD WEATHER. Date Posted:2023-07-23 05:36:39Copy HTML It's Canadian laziness. You don't want to roast your own meat so you set the forest on fire. Send wild hog bar-b-que. It's only Gods way of punishing the people who polluted his creation in the first place and who have failed since to try hard enough to fix the problems they have causes. If you notice, the two worse world polluters have been America and China and they both are now receiving pay back in the way of extreme changes in their weather. I don't know what will come next for them, the rivers turning red or the frogs falling from the sky or maybe those dam lotus showing up eating all their grains again. By the way girl, we don't have hogs in our bushes, that's only an American and European thingy. This is just an add on to the original post. I mentioned some of the extremes under which you would face but I forgot about adding the flies. Well guest what, they have arrived in the States already in the west coast but it won't be long before they start heading east. Exotic Fruit FliesExotic fruit flies are of concern to the agriculture industry in California. The larval (maggot) stage of fruit flies such as Mediterranean fruit fly, Mexican fruit fly and oriental fruit fly can damage most of the fruits and vegetables grown in our state. These and other exotic pests have not become established in California due to (1) strict federal exterior and state interior quarantines, (2) a pest detection program, and (3) aggressive eradication programs when an infestation is discovered. Federal and state quarantines protect against the entry and spread of exotic fruit flies by requiring strict adherence to treatment and inspection procedures for hosts. Smuggled and/or illegally imported fruit is the most common pathway of fruit fly entry into California. The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), in concert with most of the County Agricultural Commissioners, deploy and maintain over 63,000 detection traps statewide just for exotic fruit flies. The fruit flies (family Tephritidae) of most concern are a group of small (1/5" to 1/3") to medium-sized (3/4") flies, with general body coloration that can be in the red, orange, yellow or black ranges. Their wings generally have brownish streaks and may also display scattered dark spots. There are four life stages: adult; egg; larva; pupa (puparium). The eggs of these flies are slender, white and have an elliptical shape, and are typically laid in batches of 3 to 40, under the skin of the host fruit. The larvae (the maggots in the fruit) are cylindrical in shape, approximately ½" long and creamy white in appearance. The contents of their guts are often visible through their skin, and large numbers can colonize the flesh of individual host fruits. Some species will attack flowers and plant stems as well. The puparium (pupa case) can be colored either dull white, dark brown or black. It is just over an inch long and usually found in the soil from 2" to (rarely) 6" deep. |

I almost forgot that you get your wood now from Russian slave labour camps full of North Koreans. On the subject of Socialism. Do you have a healthcare system on the island. How about a welfare system or unemployment insurance. If you have any of the above then you are a socialist Nation. |

I almost forgot that you get your wood now from Russian slave labour camps full of North Koreans workers. On the subject of Socialism. Do you have a healthcare system on the island. How about a welfare system or unemployment insurance. If you have any of the above then you are a socialist Nation. You have 2 million migrate workers on average planting and picking your crops each year but with all this heat you have caused through American greed they are saying that you could lose up to 40% of all your crops this year and it is forecasted that many of the places crowing crops now won't be able to even do it in 5 years. It's not the first time America has had this happen through poor planning. So when food prices go through the roof then don't blame your President, just look in the mirror and see the guilty bastar*up close. America spends 600 billion dollars a year on their military. When Trump was in office he raised the debt ceiling 3 times and increased the debt by 7 trillion dollars. |

Re:BAD WEATHER. Date Posted:2023-08-13 05:38:12Copy HTML I see the weather gods haven't been on Maui side this week. With the fires caused and accelerated by the strong winds besides the lose of death and injury a complete tourist industry which is the Islands bread and butter has been lost. It will be years before it is back on it's feet. The warning systems to the locals were not heard by many because the wind and fires took out the electrical wires out early which cut the warning sirens and WIFI system to cells phones and radio and TV signals. |

It only takes 250 Canadians to do the job of 6,000 Americans Tommy, everyone knows that. If you check that 6,000 number you will see that it also included Canadians. |

I have a cousin who has gone there every year for the past 4 with her husband and his brother and wife who had a time share there which they all stayed at. Yesterday she sent me pictures of were they use to all like to eat and stay before and after the fires. The place isn't recognizable now. The brother who had the time share was very lucky and sold it this spring so will have no loses. Very lucky indeed. |

My area did not get the bad weather. The rain from the hurricane was to the east of us. Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina were hit hard. I do not know, if it reached Virginia. |

Re:BAD WEATHER. Date Posted:2023-09-01 02:48:59Copy HTML I don't think Idelia affected Tennessee, at least I haven't heard anything. In my part of Virginia, we haven't gotten so much as a spit from the heavens. It is so dry here that you can't find a green lawn anywhere. We are currently on mandatory water conservation. I practice as a general rule (we all live downstream), but it's a little scary seeing the river so low. Teresa generally checks in every couple of days, so she'll update us soon. My local weather gal is more interested in the weather in Toledo than in Nashville.
