I totally disagree. Trump is turning things around in the US. Communism will kill China, 

unless Communism is overthrown and replaced with a freedom loving government. 

I'm with you on the anti-Communist theme for sure. But Trump has badly misjudged the effects that his "go it alone" policy will have on world trade. He has sketched out the goal, the end result in his mind neglecting the fact that he has to get there first and his policies will not achieve that. "We're in transition" will only satisfy John and Mary Lunchbucket (thanks to Tommy for that phrase) before they start to think how many more years do we have go through getting poorer before we get to the Promised Land. The Chinese will run the course longer than US citizens will.

I consider that wrong and I’ll tell you why. All Chinese leaders rule by fear and all of them keep a good eye over their shoulder. At the moment their coastline is crammed with a hundred loaded ships and nowhere to go, each day adds to it, factories are closing down and discreet unrest is creeping in. China will have to sit down with Trump or their leader knows that escalating unrest always leads to regime change. There’s none as arrogant as the Chinese, and to save face against the US the leader have to be seen to be strong, therefore he delays and will come to a compromise for the sake of his own neck. Meanwhile the US economy will grow because Trump is opening ship building, steal production and get rid of the rust belt. He’s lifted the nutters restriction on oil and gas, fuel prices will drop and manufacturing will get a boost by being brought home.

If it's all down to a waiting game I'll back the USA to crack first. Regime change will not happen in China, the people can take economic pain better than Americans. The Trump regime has less than four years, the Chinese know that and are banking on Trump giving in first to protect his legacy for 2028, Chairman Xi had no such timetable to keep an eye on.
