Date Posted:2022-03-30 07:40:45Copy HTML The longer this goes on, the more I see Ukraine as being just another cold war ball for each side to kick around. The initial attack on the Russian economy by the west has just about run its course and now the Rouble has recovered, China, India and most of the rich middle eastern states still back Russia and Putin and he has never been so popular with his own people. I see talk of him being ousted as a matter of course but I'm beginning to doubt that very much, as he has an iron grip on all of the Russian institutions of state and security. Any war of attrition, which this is turning into, will always favour Russia, with its massive resources and with the west declining to go any further than it has, I can't see it going but one way. The west might close its Moscow McDonalds and a few other tokenisms but the fact is, Russia has Europe by the goolies, as we have been idiotic enough to become dependent of Russian energy, which will always be our Achilles heel. We are stuck on the Russian tit. Here in Europe a few years ago the ruling classes in Brussels issued a diktat stating that diesel engines were cleaner than petrol ones, a blatant pile of crap if ever there was one. Any person with an inkling of knowledge of engines knew this was a blatant lie and who benefitted most from it? The German car industry. Here in Britain, following our decades long policy of getting everything produced abroad, we gave up refining our own fuels on a huge scale and guess who refines all of our Diesel? Yep, Russia. There is now talk of Diesel rationing later in the year and if that happens where will our shops get their goods from? Russia holds all the cards, as far as I can see. Gas and electricity are now set to rise by up to 400% in Britain in the next two years and our political class have only added to the crisis by pampering to the ridiculous green lobby. Naturally they're having to quietly backtrack now as their own political futures are in jeopardy. Do you know that 25% of all we pay over here for energy is a green tax? If the war has any benefit for us, it will be the dawning of an energy reality in the corridors of power. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-15 07:56:13Copy HTML In a devastating setback for Russia, their Baltic flagship the Moskva has sunk. Ukraine is claiming they did it and Russia says in was due to an onboard explosion, but whatever the cause both scenarios are deeply humiliating for Russia. Sadly it would appear that hundreds of sailors have perished onboard. For Russia it's a lose lose scenario, if the Ukrainians did it it's humiliating at least and if it was self inflicted it is humiliating at least. Alarmingly it has now surfaced that the ship was carrying nuclear weapons, which naturally the Russians deny. Are they safe from detonation? As an undersea nuclear explosion in the Black Sea would be an environmental disaster of the first magnitude, so much so that it just might solicit a mention from the west's socialists. The Russian navy has now moved its other warships 80 miles out of range of the shore, which is in itself an admission it was the Ukrainians who are responsible. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-15 09:13:51Copy HTML The horrendous Chinese stooge running the World Health Organisation, has criticised the world's focus on the Ukraine war as a form of racism. Isn't eating your cornflakes in the morning with white milk nowadays? He says we are not giving black issues equal coverage, what a wanker. Hello hello, anyone at home? There are millions of refugees fleeing right across the entire world. Tens of thousands are being murdered. Chemical weapons have been used. Thousands of women raped, children killed and I can tell him that that is more important than covering black looting and burning in Dem controlled US cities. Trump singled this devious little rat and his Chinese puppet masters the moment he took office and stopped the US money flowing into the Chinese propaganda chest. That idiot Biden began giving it away again the moment he came into office. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-15 03:35:37Copy HTML I hope arrangements are being made to recover any nuclear weapons on that ship. Detonation would mean disaster for everyone, wouldn't it? The Russians would suffer just as much as everyone else because they have so many other ships in the area. Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-17 08:34:21Copy HTML HA! You couldn't make this up, but you'd have no problem knowing who's responsible. So, we have a war in Ukraine and thousands of child refugees needing homes....step forward Mr & Mrs Averagebrit, who are generously offering to share their homes with muslims and Nigerians! Yep. some British families, who volunteered their homes to Ukrainians have found the authorities delivering the wrong package, they've delivered Africans instead in the hope they won't notice I suppose. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-17 01:01:40Copy HTML The latest Russian disinformation exercise involves the cruiser Moskva that was sunk in the Black Sea. It was hit by Ukrainian missiles, but to avoid saying this the Russians said it sank after an internal explosion, so we sank it ourselves is effect what they're saying, anything than credit the Ukrainians with the victory. Then they hit the factory that builds the missiles but say it was nothing to do with the loss of the Moskva simply retaliation for a Ukrainian helicopter attack against Russian soil, which of course never happened. To the rest of the world it's yet another laughable load of crap, but it's not us they're trying to convince, it's the gullible public at home who need to be fed this rubbish to keep them onside. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-18 03:17:13Copy HTML I hope the British families react publicly, although according to an article I read a few weeks ago, charges of racism are already being lobbed by black Ukanians or blacks in Ukraine, I'm not sure which, so they will probably be silenced.

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-23 12:16:08Copy HTML Ref #29, Are you making this up Art. We have brought many Ukrainian women and children over and non are of a darker colour. The only ones that were in the Ukraines that were darker were students and they all got shipped home to their own countries. We will take in as many as they send us because we need to increase our population as a matther of fact, we already have. Who's this far right French "B" who's sleeping with Putin. She's into him for millions and Putins funding her election run. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-23 12:27:06Copy HTML I hope arrangements are being made to recover any nuclear weapons on that ship. The dumb Russians were digging trenches at the nuclear power station they over run. (Chernobyl) When the Ukrainians went back in they took reading for radiation on some of the things the Russians wer using like ration packs and found them to be right off the scale. They said a lot of those Russian soldiers will end up dieing of Radiation poisoning. |

It's good to have the (sometimes) "voice of reason" here again, Art has got carried away with his Le Pen fetish, it's clear now that Macron will win. No Pete, these people are not from Ukraine, it's just the social services spotting an opportunity to use volunteers for Ukrainian refugees to house others they have in care. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-23 08:19:29Copy HTML Welcome back, hope you and yours are well. It's good to have the (sometimes) "voice of reason" here again, Art has got carried away with his Le Pen fetish, it's clear now that Macron will win. Let's hope so Mark because Le Pen is off the scale when it comes to far right. She is in the same league as Marjorie Taylor Greene when it comes to horse crap. Le Pen wants out of Nato and wants France to be closer to Russia. She is just like Putin and owes him big time for the money she borrowed off of him. A typical Russian oligarch in a dress. She is what you call a wolf in sheeps clothing and not to be trusted with the nations secrets. Thanks for the welcome back, we both still can't get around much. The big long drives and trips we both enjoyed are off the table for now. Remember, if there is some place to would like to travel to and see, do it when you are still young enough to enjoy it. |

Le Pen fetish? You'll have to explain that one to me. I've been back over everything I've posted on Le Pen and you appear to have a different appraisal of the word than I have. Fill me in. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-23 09:30:32Copy HTML Ref #29, Are you making this up Art. No Pete, these people are not from Ukraine, it's just the social services spotting an opportunity to use volunteers for Ukrainian refugees to house others they have in care. I wake up watching what's going on in the Ukraines each day and fall a sleep at night watching it. I did see blacks in the Ukraines who were conplaining on TV that the Ukrainian woman and children were being processed faster them and they though they should get lodging before the Ukrainian did. It was like aid workers were treating them bad because they were black. They were all out and flown out in two days. All students. The Ukraines doesn't have blacks, only Nazi's and a Jewish President. With all the hundreds if not thousands of war crimes commited so far, how to you prosecute anyone of them unless they leave Russia. Don't think Putin even leaves the room with the long table in it, far less the country. Everyone is hoping for an over throw from within Russia but Putin is already knocking off his close group and their families if they don't agree with him. I think we are dealing with a sick man here and a bit of a loose cannon. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-23 12:56:54Copy HTML The threat to prosecute Putin and his cronies is an empty one, they're never likely to put themselves in a position to be arrested and even they did I doubt if they'd ever stand trial. It's more of a tempter to get some of his men to jump ship and give up what they know in return for immunity and the freedom to travel outside Russia. Art's Le Pen fetish is centred on his conviction that she'll win because you want her to, the same as predicting a second Trump Presidency. Le Pen will never be President and Trump will never serve a second term. Even Le Pen-lite is too divisive for the average voter and once bitten twice shy with Trump. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-23 08:30:28Copy HTML HA! You have a chance with Le Pen not winning but if Trump runs again he'll totally destroy the Dems. By the way, thinking somebody will win is not a fetish and if it is, you've got a Macron fetish. |

Re:The war in Ukraine Date Posted:2022-04-28 08:21:31Copy HTML A Russian platoon commander billed as the “champion looter” of the conflict in Ukraine nabbed 440 kg of goods to send back to his home country, a report has found. Yevgeny Kovalenko, 27, lifted goods ranging from speakers, tables, tents and tools to ship to his hometown of Rubtsovsk in Altai Krai region of western Siberia, according to the Russian opposition website Dossier Centre in London. CCTV footage shows Kovalenko and a band of sticky-fingered soldiers shipping off parcels to their homes at the CDEK delivery centre in Belarus, according to the outlet East2West. “More than two dozen soldiers pass through the office during the broadcast,” the Dossier Centre said. “Chevrons of Russian troops on their uniforms are seen. The Russian soldiers had just returned to Belarus. It is unlikely that they had time to legally buy these tons of goods.” |
