Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-04 09:33:58Copy HTML Cyprus isn't a member of NATO, it could only call on the EU with any certainty. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-05 08:31:21Copy HTML Today's reason for attacking Iran, it varies daily, is that they were about to build a nuclear bomb, But I thought Trump had "obliterated" their nuclear programme last year, he told us so at length. Either way he's lying, as usual. The truly worrying thing is that some Americans, fortunately getting fewer by the day, believe his lies. A nation gulled by a seeming strongman, but one who'll bring you down in the end, sound familiar? Your saving grace is the fact that he can't run again, plus he's old, but old tyrants can inflict a lot of damage before their time is up. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-05 10:10:01Copy HTML Iran is a global sponsor of terrorism. You name a terrorist organisation and Iran pay for it. They threaten global shipping and trade they slaughter tens of thousands of their own people as well as others around the globe. Ask yourself, why does nobody complain about what the US is doing, why is everybody on board but us? And if we did not have Starmer, we would be shoulder to shoulder with the US as usual. Is there anything whatsoever that Iran could do that might shift Starmer, or you? Tell me of a country that is against Trump and his policy for the freedom of the Iranian people? |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-05 10:27:28Copy HTML I see that Cyprus has condemned Britain for not protecting it. Not to worry Cyprus President Trump will do it for you. The Iranian nuts have also bombed the airport in Azerbaijan, this is the action of a psychotic regime, the kind that murders 40,000 of its own people. Iran has been placing sleeper cells over here via the legal immigrants, four years, or so I think, so we’ll see if there’s any reaction by them and consequently any by you then. It’s had to come it’s now next year or in five years but it had to come. You cannot continue to allow a nation to sponsor terrorism in your own backyard around the world and you can’t let your psychotic hatred of a man prevent prevent an approval of the right to defend yourself. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-05 12:23:12Copy HTML Where have you got the idea from that I support Iran or oppose Trump's actions? Show me where. The point I'm making is that Cyprus called on the EU to defend it in case a missile or drone goes astray. GB should have sufficient defensive capabilities over there, but we haven't, Labour is at fault for that. From what I gather the RAF bases have anti-missile defences to protect the sites themselves, but the Cypriots are worried about stray missiles requiring a wider zone of protection that warships can provide. Also what is Trump's long term plan. He hasn't got one, he never thinks beyond short term victories, we see that in his on/off tariffs that change almost daily. Starmer is no Churchill but Trump is no FDR either. Short term gratification is no substitute for grown-up planning, something he's utterly incapable of.

Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-05 04:02:28Copy HTML Sod off Mark, you oppose every breath he takes. When are you going to admit you have, and always had, a childish tantrum against him, or Trump Derangement Syndrome, as it's medically known. By the way, his paranoid enemy at CNN ordered a flash poll on his actions and were devastated to find his actions very popular amongst their viewers. By the way, you can see his ratings shooting up in that TDS cartoon you posted. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2026-03-05 06:58:21Copy HTML I don't oppose everything he does. His anti-immigration policies are something we should be doing. Iran needed sorting out, but at least he could get his story straight instead of making up reasons/excuses as each new day dawns. It gives the impression that he hasn't thought it through, which of course he hasn't, short term gratification with no comprehension about what to do next. You're hatred of Labour and Starmer in particular is more alarming. Even when he announces measures to curb immigration you don't like it. They're not doing enough sure, but I think they have got the message which you in your blind hatred can't or won't see. The fact that you go on about him being a Communist is pathetic, even the Right Wing Press know he's a centre Left figure holding back genuine Far Lefties, but to you anyone left of you, and presumably that includes me, are Communists. Yet I vote Conservative and may vote Reform if they look like winning in my town. You can be a dozy git sometimes! You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Yet I vote Conservative and may vote Reform if they look like winning in my town. You can be a dozy git sometimes! You don't oppose everything Trump does? Yes you do. Me making up excuses, what excuses are they? Iran needs sorting out? I'm amazed you think so and who do you think should sort them out then? The US? Led by a man who will perhaps? Can't be Trunp surely? Maybe we get Biden and the democrats to do it? HA! So what are Trump's DAILY excuses? Give us some examples and we can discuss them. I'll wait for you to watch his daily addresses and see why you disagree with them. My hatred of Starmer is more alarming? No, it's actually not alarming enough. Curb illegal immigration? Where? Where are your examples? He's never, ever stopped a single boat, not a bloody one. There are no measures to curb immigration, there never has been. You appear to think so, so tell me, how many illegal people have arrived here since he took office? Are the figures down? NO, they bloody well aren't. I don't have a blind hatred, I have a measurable reaction to the injustice we Britons are having to face from socialists who revel in rubbing our noses in illegal immigration and that all encompassing utopia of diversity and inclusion. Since when did Islamic communities in this country invite Hindus into their community, or Christians, or Sikhs? They don't, their communities are closed shops and if you don't know it, try asking a Hindu or Sikh if they are. Starmer not far left? Grow up. As for the jibe of everybody being left of me is a communist, put that bottle of wine away and get back to me later. |
