Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-11-01 05:08:41Copy HTML Vance addressed the Munich Security Conference on Feb. 14, 2025, with leaders about defense & transatlantic ties. The position the Vance took was Americans should not have to use their tax $ to subsidize European defense while Europeans prefer to spend their $ on welfare. A lot of Europeans did not like that, but they better learn to lump it as long as Vance appears to be the heir apparent in 2029.

Hmm, it would appear that stifling drug trade is more urgent than stifling Putin? The nations of Europe need to defend themselves. It is a US taxpayer issue, and it costs us millions of dollars every year. |

Imagine that? |

It is not the place of the US or any other nation to be the police officer of the world. This was tried in ancient Rome and it failed. The people became war worried and tired. |

I hope that they are successful. |

Trump is seeking $230 million in damages from the federal government over alleged rights violations in Mueller's investigation. Even Trump admitted it strange to make a decision where he is paying himself with taxpayer cash. Now he is building a golden ballroom at the White House, demanding the prosecution of his enemies, pocketing billions on crypto schemes, & takes a $400 million jet from Quatar. Now Grey, what was that about not having a monarchy? |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-11-02 08:15:27Copy HTML He's even put out a video of himself wearing a crown, he likes to think of himself as a King I'm sure. Several Presidents in history have elevated themselves to Kings or Emperors - Ahmed Zogu, President of Albania did so in 1928 and more recently Jean-Bédel Bokassa of the Central African Republic proclaimed himself Emperor in 1976. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Now Grey, what was that about not having a monarchy? It is still NOT a monarchy. The ballroom is being paid by private donations. Going back to President Harris, many if not all presidents have wanted a ballroom for state dinners, etc. The problem was that Congress would not approve the money. Past presidents including Obama used a tent for meetings, etc. Trump's being charged criminally was political. Everyone involved should be sued. |

Re: last sentence..............You mean the hoarding of classified material at Mar-a-Lago? Trump's personal attorney who defended him is Todd Blanche. Oh, by the way, Todd Blanche is now the Deputy Attorney General who would need to approve Trump's latest suit for $230 million. Do you think he will? |
