With the coronation coming up it's only right that we should have a page devoted to HM King Charles III.

Although the coronation is billed as a slimmed down affair I trust it will be a grand enough spectacle. It's what most of us want, ignore the mean-spirited anti-Monarchists and those whining about cost. As someone in The Daily Telegraph said last week, we want snaggle-toothed Lords in full ermine!

Judging by the list of ancient traditions being observed we'll see individuals carrying St Edward's Staff, the sceptre with dove (eh?), the Sword of Offering, the Sword of Spiritual Justice, the Sword of Temporal Justice, the Sword of Mercy and the spurs (eh? again) among other arcane things. Lovely stuff, bring it on!

With King Charles' desire for inclusivity and diversity (yawn) we'll see a disproportionately large number of ethnics involved in the ceremony, but that's the world we live in now.

That comment was blown out of all proportion by Oprah's exaggerated response. I'm sure the news of a baby in a mixed race family has caused people to speculate on his/her skin colour, quite normal in fact.

Meghan could have been a wonderful addition to the Windsors, but she had no intention of staying here, that's clear now.

The Coronation took place a year ago today. The weather is rather better now than it was then.

How many other King Charles III's have there been I was wondering. Three obvious ones spring to mind - Charles III of France, Spain and the Holy Roman Empire. So I looked up the others, here they are. In each case I've used the name they were known by in their own country, but which translates in English to Charles. Some held titles other than King but were sovereign rulers nevertheless.

Carlos III, King of Spain. Born 1716, succeeded 1759, died 1788.

Charles III, King of West Francia (France). Born 879, succeeded 898, deposed 922, died 929.

Karl III, Holy Roman Emperor. Born 839, elected 877, deposed 887, died 888.

Carlo III, King of Naples. Born 1345, succeeded 1382, died 1386.

Charles III, King of Navarre, Born 1361, succeeded 1387, died 1425.

Charles III, Duke of Savoy. Born 1486, succeeded 1504, died 1553.

Charles III, Duke of Lorraine. Born 1543, succeeded 1545, died 1608.

Charles III, Prince of Monaco. Born 1818, succeeded 1856, died 1889.

Carlo III, Duke of Parma. Born 1823, succeeded 1849, died 1854.

It was kind of you to note Karl III as opposed to his more familiar, and my favo(u)rite, Charles the Fat.

Neither did it feel right to call Charles III of West Francia "Charles the Simple".

Don't know of any ruler of that name, not on my extensive list of Monarchs.

You're looking in the past, try looking in the today. There are a million suspicious people right now wanting to ask questions, such as ..... Are you a converted muslim or a Christian? Are you both maybe?

A million idiots you mean. He attends Anglican services regularly, visits synagogues, Hindu temples and mosques as part of his duties, but no-one accuses him of being a Hindu or Jewish. This selective denunciation is pathetic. The bigger picture indicates that, as King of a diverse country, he is doing his best to promote religious harmony.

The problem is that Muslims cannot get along with people who are members of another religion.

In Muslim countries, women and non-Muslims are second class citizens.

Charles would be better off staying away from Islam. What he is doing is like

petting a cobra or another dangerous snake. Sooner or later, he will get snake bitten.

As King its his duty to reach out to all members of society, I have no problem with that. His attendance at Christian places of worship far exceeds all others combined.

There are lies damn lies and statistics. Commentators from all branches of the media are commenting on Charles uncomfortable relationship with Islam. Remember this is the man who filled St George’s Chapel Windsor with Muslims and had their call to prayer in the sacred building of Christianity. That’s one act alone is a disgrace and he should never have done it and he knows it but he also needed it to show this individual group of people just how much he thought of them. Has he ever done anything remotely like this for the  Hindus the Sikhs? it’s also the ease with which he employs the trappings of Islam when visiting their countries. He loves to dress up in Arab gear wielding a sword. Imagine the late queen doing anything as intimate as that? it’s unthinkable. No, there is something not quite right, is the best way I can put it

Charlie has visited a Hindu temple on only three occasions in the last decade. his last visit to a Sikh temple was almost 4 years ago.

It's not a problem for reasonable-minded people, nothing to keep them awake at night. Try relaxing a little, you're sweating the small stuff far too much.
