Date Posted:2024-05-22 05:07:53Copy HTML Let's have a new page for the UK and US Elections 2024. Ours has been called early for 4 July. Labour will win and Sir Keir Starmer will be Prime Minister on 5 July ending 14 years of Conservative government. My guess is that the Labour majority won't be as large as some are predicting (over100 seats) more like 30-50 perhaps. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-05 11:03:37Copy HTML I hereby christen you a fully fledged deluded Trumpanzee class one with this ridiculous adoration of St Donald of the Trump. Trump is a human not a saint. You must suffer from TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome. The cure is freedom and liberty. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 11:58:20Copy HTML I thought Harris would win & at great peril predicted just that. I thought the abortion thingy would be the major factor. I held my nose & voted Trump as the lesser of two evils thingy. I was wrong, but two out of three ain't bad, eh?
Now I have to buy some Trump gear to show how smart I am. |

President Trump will be good for: business, the economy, security and border control, the military, etc. He will do a lot to help the entire world. Trump won my state of Tennessee. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 12:53:37Copy HTML Yes, it turns out the old "It's about the economy, stupid" thingy has prevailed. This is very true. Young people voted for Trump because of the economy. They were afraid, that they could not find a job when they finished school. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 02:08:41Copy HTML HA! Kier Stasi and his token black cabinet officer, the foreign secretary, a thicker, more useless, anti British nobend you couldn't hope to meet, David Lammy (when he meets Trump it will be Lamm to the slaughter) are now grovelling for all their worth, congratulating Trump on his victory. Stasi and his politburo were sponsoring hundreds of fellow commies to go to America and campaign against Trump a few weeks ago. He's their worse nightmare and he's going to shaft those two lightweights royally when he meets them. I'd love to be a fly on the wall, what joy, what entertainment. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 02:13:19Copy HTML The US now has a right wing government, Europe is voting in right wing governments across the continent and we vote in a bunch of commies. Labour have been out of office for twelve years and it gives people time to forget, add to that the most anti conservative conservative party I've ever known and this shower of shite we have is the result. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 07:19:03Copy HTML Ha! The lefty lovies and screwballs are falling apart over the result. M.S.L.S.D called the electors of Trump in Florida fascists. Four years ago they were a beautiful bunch of enlightened people. Comparing Trump they had a wall full of huge pictures of fascist leaders, Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Putin and even threw in Hungary's present leader, Viktor Orban, know why he's a fascist? Because he won't let muslims into Hungary, because he doesn't have a death wish. These people are unhinged and need to visit the funny farm. One CBC studio guest called the result 'something straight out of Hitler's playbook.' The lefty mentality seriously needs to come under the mental health act. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 07:37:29Copy HTML Really amusing that after being tortured to the most vitriolic election campaign ads & rhetoric in my memory .........................Now we all one, all Americans, who have to come together with hugs & kisses for each other. We don't need to be nasty or shun our friends, family, neighbors, just because they voted for a different candidate. We are Americans, we are better than that.
No, we're not, that's bullshit. Hate is a good thing sometimes. It keeps us going & gives us energy. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 07:39:31Copy HTML The reaction and anguish of the Left is making me think Trump's election is a good thing. As I've said before some of his policies are OK, but don't ask me to like him as a person, if I can get through the next four years without seeing his stupid face or hear his whining voice and his juvenile remarks I'll be happy. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-06 08:00:36Copy HTML Harris was nothing but a box ticker, problem for the lefty's was she couldn't tick the boxes for intelligence, common sense, character, competence, likability, political savvy or intelligence. Once again, you don't have to like Trump, it's not a compulsory requirement. Eight years ago or more I told this page that I couldn't spend a night in a pub with him as he's a boring bastard in my view. Naturally experience might sway that thought but I've not got the time to find out. He is however a savvy businessman, has more experience than the next half dozen politicians put together, he truly loves his country and everything about it and will put its interests at the top of any agenda and I admire that. He's probably now in more danger from the US institutions, such as the CIA than at any other time because he's already told them and the US that he's going to open their secret doors and expose these governments within governments. Who he'll find to do that is a mystery but I hope he does because they're undemocratic, answerable to none and rotten to the core. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. There could just be a mini revolution of kinds going on soon so ..... come on down! |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-07 08:48:41Copy HTML Relief that the uncertainty is over. I'm no economist so I'm confused over why Trump is such good news for the economy. He's talking about huge tariffs, 20% on goods from the EU, but doesn't that mean the EU will apply equal tariffs on US goods? Where will he sell them if they're too expensive to buy other than the home market? No economy will flourish if all you're doing is selling your goods at home, international trade is the way to prosperity surely. I hope a lot of his talk is the usual electioneering waffle all politicians make in the search for votes, we saw it here this summer, when the realities of government hit he'll row back on some things, they all do once they've got in and don't need us for a few years yet. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-07 09:22:16Copy HTML It's hilarious watching the lefty lovies all curling up into the foetal position and sucking their thumbs. As for tariffs, it all depends upon which country is making the most out of them. All countries have tariffs of sorts but some charge more than others and see them as a way of protecting their own industries. If a country, most notably China, is flooding your country with cheap goods, which your home industries cannot compete with, then tariffs are introduced to offset them, to protect your own market, as China has sent thousands of businesses to the wall with their cheap goods and when they're gone they're gone. Trump is a pure conservative and worships competition in the market but he also understands that others don't play fair in that market and this threat of tariffs will be causing panic in many countries. Why do it? Because it's the basis for negotiation, fear is the key to getting a deal done and he's the great deal maker. |

Re:Elections 2024 Date Posted:2024-11-07 09:25:26Copy HTML I've no problem with tariffs on cheap Chinese tat, but hitting your allies will only isolate you making your economy suffer just as much. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.
