Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-24 02:53:17Copy HTML At the moment in England the Hindus and Muslims are carrying on their 1,000 year old war on the streets of Leicester and once again the Muslims are getting a free ride off the media and police for some strange but continuous reason. It’s all over a game of cricket in Dubai at the moment but it could be any number of reasons but the Pakis have vandalised a Hindu temple whilst the police just watched on, so nothing new there to report. Their local MP is neither religion but a black woman who was recently convicted in court for stalking her husband and expelled from the Labour Party caucus. Now in true black style, she’s not blaming this 1000 year old war on either of the protagonists, no, she’s blaming it on far right elements, read white men. |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-25 11:16:35Copy HTML I’ve just watched a program about a Soviet nuclear satellite which fell from orbit in 1978 in the frozen north of Canada. They warned the US about it but couldn’t give a shite about Canada and weren’t going to pay them a penny in compensation for the clean up but in the end they gave them a paltry $3 million. Obviously you can never really clean it up, only time can do that properly as there was 100lb of plutonium on it |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-25 01:30:29Copy HTML Well fall is in the air at my estate. Mother nature is painting her landscape with the beautiful fall colors. Two bucks butting heads on the back 40. Turkey's strutting around & wood smoke in the air. Hunting season around the corner & with school in session the usual mass shootings set to begin. |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-28 01:03:31Copy HTML Stoners - British research suggesting that regular marijuana users are not more lazy or unmotivated than the general population.
Revising history - HBO MAX has digitally airbrushed cigarettes out of posters for its classic movies, which left stars such as Warren Beatty & Paul Newman gesturing strangely at their mouths with empty fingers.
Royal beekeepers have informed the bees of the Queen's death & their new master was King Charles III. Black mourning ribbons were also placed on the hives based on the centuries old superstition that bees not informed of important changes in their keepers' lives might fail to produce honey or leave the hive. |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-28 02:08:18Copy HTML I read that mourners have been asked to stop leaving marmalade sandwiches to honor the Queen because they are attracting rats and other vermin. I saw this gesture as a very Celtic thing; i.e., like leaving honey cakes and milk for the faeries. This Monarch really brought out the British in the British and I love it.

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-28 12:42:13Copy HTML Edward VII's was an indecipherable mess, while Edward VIII's looked rather odd as if drawn by a child. These are the ciphers from Queen Victoria onwards, some plain and simple, others more complex.

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-28 10:04:58Copy HTML I have tried to post something newsworthy about Canada. Of course it is difficult because Canada & Canadians are so uninteresting. BUT WAIT...........A one-eyed yellowtail rockfish at the Vancouver Aquarium was given a prosthetic eye by the facility's head veterinarian after being bullied by its fellow fish on its blind side. Now there is fish bullying in Canuckistan. |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-28 10:19:54Copy HTML William & Kate have visited Wales for the first time as Prince & Princess of Wales. Hmm, sorta like Kamala Harris our Border Czarina not visiting the border? I remember from the Crown that Charles was sent to school in Wales by his mum. |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-29 11:19:53Copy HTML I watched a disturbing documentary yesterday on the phenomenon that is ‘stolen valour’ in the US. I’ve heard of a couple of instances here but the extent of it in the US is incredible. Stolen valour is claiming to be a veteran soldier. It’s even gone as far as government, with both a Republican and Democrat congressmen falsely claiming military records they don’t have. We know Biden has claimed many things he hasn’t done but he’s got an excuse, he’s senile, but really, how could anybody do such a thing? How could you possibly live with yourself after exposure, before exposure if it comes to that. |

How about rumors of a protruding tooth & that she was not the beauty she was made out to be, & her daughter was not sired by Henry? Of course Henry must have seen something in her eh? |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-29 01:38:36Copy HTML Dental problems were normal back then. Her daughter Elizabeth was proclaimed illegitimate following her mother's execution, but only because her parents' marriage had been declared unlawful, not because of any doubts over her parentage. I can accept that she was not a great beauty; even given the standard of portraiture back then, her portraits don't show her to be truly beautiful. She was also about 31 when she married King Henry, which was well past her prime in Tudor times. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2022-09-29 01:47:55Copy HTML One day in the House of Representatives, a bill was taken up appropriating money for the benefit of a widow of a distinguished naval officer. After several beautiful speeches the Speaker was just about to put the question when a congressman arose to speak against it. He claimed that Congress has no right to appropriate a dollar of public money for charity, even so some eloquent appeals have been made to do so. He added that we have the right to give as much of our personal money to the cause & offered up on week of his own pay & challenged other members to do the same. The congressman took his seat & nobody replied. The vote was taken & failed to pass as was a certainty before the speech. That Congressman was none other than Davy Crockett when he was in Congress during the 1830's & the spirit of the law seems lost in today's politicians. |
