Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2023-08-23 11:20:34Copy HTML Meanwhile, back in the White House, President Buchanan was of the same mind, being horrified at the thought of a war with Britain when the cessation problem was looming, so he sent an emissary General Winfield Scot, who decided to go by way of a world tour and in-between time the Royal Navy would entertain the Yanks and islanders by firing volleys into the hills behind them and American officers would row over to the British ships for tea, sandwiches and a good bit of bible punching, leaving out the .....though shalt not kill part, I presume. Finally Scot arrived and declared that great nations do not go to war for a pig, Jenkin's ear maybe, but not a pig. So they settled on leaving 100 troops from each side on the island and left it at that. The 100 Brits settled in a town of their own making, calling it English Camp. The ownership dispute was finally settled by international arbitration under the auspices of Kaiser Bill no less and there's no prizes for guessing whose side he came down on, so later that year the British troops packed their bags and left with the Yanks leaving a year later. To this day the Union Flag is raised daily on the ground of the English Camp, possibly a unique event where one nation daily raises the flag of another country on their own soil and it has to be unique in the fact that two superpowers faced off with the only casualty being a pig. |

Re:Don't Start Another Date Posted:2023-08-24 01:15:54Copy HTML Canada consumes more macaroni & cheese than any other country, That is why Canadians are so disagreeable, they're bound up. We only eat home made Mac and cheese, not the boxed stuff like Kraft Dinner. The granddaughter only like Butterfly noodles and I only like it made with old Cheddar Cheese. Are you saying we eat more pasta that the Italians do?? That would be a stretch. My Father would never eat Pasta after Sicily and Italy. The locals use to hang it on a clothes lines to dry and my father use to say that it was black from the number of flies on it while it was drying. A few flies? It's all protein Pete It was from flies that many of them almost died from either Malaria or dysentery Tommy. They had nothing at the time to treat both with. With malaria their body temperature when up and down in quick succession. My fathers went to 108F and and another's went up to 113F before dropping down. Normally a person is dead well below those body temperatures. For Dysentery the only thing they had to give you was Castor Oil and you can imagine what you would fell like after taking that when you can't control your bowl movements already. To this day there are cases of malaria appearing in the States but it is usually found that these cased were contacted in another country. There has been recently 4-5 cases that were contacted in Florida and Texas but they figured out some one picked it up in another country and when they can back State side a Mosquito bit them and it passed it on. America has been declared Malaria free since the early 70's. |

Not near as many as there once was Mark since the States cracked down on it and built fences. Blane is the most common one on the west coast by the Douglas Peace monument and Park but both sides still have customs set up now but probably only check the odd person. Quebec had a lot of them at one time and New Brunswick have a couple but all monitored now. These points aren't meant to keep Canadian out, but Americans in. |

Mussolini As described in Mussolini, the Italian dictator fathered five children with his wife, Rachel, who was the daughter of his father's mistress. People magazine says that one of his sons, Romano, became a jazz pianist. Romano's daughter, Alessandra (above), recalled growing up "relatively poor" and said Romano described Benito as "a wonderful family man. She declined to comment on his politics but defended her grandfather against accusations of tyranny. She would later enter politics herself and get into a flame war with Fire Marshall Bill. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Alessandra appeared on the cover of Playboy, became a member of European parliament, and feuded with Jim Carrey for mocking Mussolini's death with scathing artwork. She called him "a bastard" and attacked detractors of her grandfather on Twitter, decrying one critic as "human garbage." Mussolini's great-grandson, Caio Giulio Cesare Mussolini, whose name translates to Julius Caesar Mussolini, per Newsweek, ran for political office in 2019. A former navy submariner, he takes an anti-establishment tack. He also attacked Mark Zuckerberg after Facebook deleted his account, accusing the the social media juggernaut of acting like "the thought police," via the Guardian.
Mussolini's youngest granddaughter, Rachele, became a politician also, and a part-time tour guide to teach people about Mussolini's legacy, according to the New Zealand Herald. |

They don't come by foot or by riverboats anymore but are flown North in Private planes and when the service is preformed them they fly back to a small airport close to their homes. Why a group of men ever decided that a woman doesn't have a right over her own body in the first place is beyond me. The 2024 election could be lost over this same issue like the 2022 elections swipe was. The women of the country will unit no matter if they are from the left, right or center for one cause and that as you know is an awful lot of votes that the Republicans won't get to see. Since the right took the House by one vote, what have they done for the country since. Your right if you said nothing. They can't even raise a bill far less get one passed. |

Question for you Pete, will those states allow contraception? That was up in the air and you can't get the morning after pills like before. What the country does need is a proper cut of date higher than 6 weeks which is the time some Red States are going for. That may sound good to the men making the rules but usually a woman doesn't even think she is pregnant until after she has missed two cycles. Some religious groups in the States don't even believe in birth control of any kind but in my view you shouldn't have more children that you can support, cloth and feed properly. In this day and age you need both parents working if you ever want to own progress and get a home for your family. The days of the husband being the bread winner only have long gone. I shouldn't mention this but another problem is a lot of woman of colour have 5 or more children all from different men. She ends up going on Government assistance and the kids aren't getting any adult male bonding or supervision. They usually join gangs to make their money on the street in anyway possible which ends up putting a strain on the rest of society. Woman don't have abortions just for the fun of it in late term unless their Doctors advises it. The Republicans are trying to push that woman are waiting to the last minute before having an abortion and the doctors are killing live babies. You have to be pretty thick to believe that crap. I still think an abortion is between a woman and her Doctor because he is the best person to know her health and the babies health. To get an abortion after rape or incest should not be forbidden like some Red States want. |
