If you are having problems or if Aimoo is down, there are two groups for help.

1.) The Aimoo Help Forum is at http://aimoohelpforum.aimoo.com/ .

This is the main group for reporting problems, either your problems or a groups problems.

If the server that the group is on is down or if Aimoo is down, then go to the

Facebook group.

2.) The Aimoo Assistance Facebook group is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/141193663182473/ .

This group is not monitored. It is to be used if the Aimoo help group is down or if Aimoo is down.

Remember, the help team are Aimoo members, that are helping us. They have access to contact

the programmers and the engineers. You have to be a member of the group, to post. The Facebook

group requires that you answer some questions, to be approved.

Aimoo is still fixing bugs and problems. They are adding back some features, that we had on the

old Aimoo system. I do not have the time table for this. You would have to ask in the help forum.

If they do not know, then they would have to contact Aimoo personnel.

I have found two additional options if you all would care to take a look and give an opinion:

FORUMOTION.COM

(I can't get a link to copy here  )

and

ProBoards.com

I lean toward ProBoards; it lists youtube embedding and other features similar to here.

The best two that people at the Aimoo Help Forum like are:

Pro Boards at https://www.proboards.com/ and Boardhost at https://www.boardhost.com/ .

Forumotion is hard to join, and a lot of people do not like it.

I do not know, if there is a website that offers what Aimoo offers.

We'll see what Major has to say.  My vote will be for ProBoards.  I went to their features page and it looks like they offer the most like here.  I didn't see the same features offered at Boardhost.  I'll follow where the crowd wants to go, though.

I totally agree. I am thinking that we might want a backup group, in case Aimoo

shuts down or closes without notice. The owners are not talking to anyone.

Has anyone checked the forum list recently, https://www.aimoo.com/forumlist ?

There used to be a lot of groups and pages. Now it is down to 4 pages.

A lot of people and groups have left, because Aimoo is not fixing their problems.

It is very sad.

I feel the same way. This is a heads up. There is a group owner at the Aimoo Help Forum,

whose group just disappeared. Since no one deleted it, people suspect that Aimoo did it.

This is her post from https://aimoohelpforum.aimoo.com/topic/Why_Is_My_Forum_Gone-1016295-16-1 .

Hi

I have been in aimoo a lot of years today i came to see if it was there and how it was and it's gone off my list and that hurts I had done a lot of work I never asked to have it deleted. Is this the way one gets treated after a long time here? I won't put any money back in aimoo until groups are fixed and if I do decide to stay now i have no group. i'm disgusted that my group is gone. I didn't do nothing or ask nothing to have it gone. Least someone could had told me. Is aimoo back and fixed? Or no.?

It may be that there was little or no activity on her site for a while, ours is accessed daily and might be spared the sudden axe, although it looks like the whole site will be shut down at some point.

Mark, have you had a chance to look at the ProBoards site?  I want to make sure it is accessible where you live, although most sites are accessible worldwide now.  There is a button you can click on to see "Features" which is helpful before actually creating a forum.

I've just had a look and it does appear very similar to Aimoo even down to several abandoned sites not visited for years!

Who's going to take the plunge and start us a back-up group?  I've emailed Major, but he hasn't responded and I don't see any of his responses here.  I've seen neither hide nor hair of our Pete either.

What would we name the group? I would like for Major to join the discussion.

I have never owned a group, but if needed I will try to open a group.

I'm with Mark.  I'll follow whoever decides to start a new group.  Teresa, I'm sure you're fully qualified for the task.  I do wish the others would weigh in here.  We need a group decision.

Well, Good People, I you told I've been crazy for the past year + but apparently I've been crazy longer than that.  I went to ProBoards to sign up for an account and it turns out I not only already have an account, but I also started a group there in 2012 (13 years ago!)  when Aimoo was messing around again.  The following are listed as members already:  Major, Mark and PBA.  I hope this link comes through:

I'll have to join anew as I can't remember the password, none of those I tried were accepted.

Ignore that, I've changed my password and posted for the first time in years AND uploaded my avatar.

Tommy, you were never a member, so if you follow the link in Shula's post above you can join. Best to try as Aimoo could close down at any moment.

Tom, if you click on that link, there is probably a button to click on to register at ProBoards.  You'll need your email address and a password.

Teresa knows more about this than I do.  I just completely forgot about that scare we had back in 2012.  I had forgotten my password so I clicked on "forgot my password" and it sent a code to my email.  I can't figure out how to invite people to join, though.

If you decide to start a new group, Teresa, I will definitely join.

I have tried and tried to make each of the members at ProBoards an administrator but every time I try, it tells me y'all aren't members.  I'm at a loss.   I followed the instructions but nothing worked.  I'll keep trying, though.
