I haven't been able to log on since Sunday on my home laptop, I keep getting an "Aimoo is down for Maintenance" notice, which it obviously isn't as I'm here on my works PC, must be a problem at my end.

It's happening again, but as you can see I can get in by a roundabout route. I can log on to any Aimoo site, even if not a member, then click on iAimoo and get in that way. 

I was also locked out for at least 4-5 days. I mentioned it to Tommy by e-mail.

I had no problems & am thankful because I am a techtard.

The owner and staff are in China. The servers are in Hawaii.  

Discussion sites such as this have fallen out of favour, what with Twitter and Instagram and other such nonsense. I expect this will disappear before too long. There are plenty "live" sites out there, but most haven't had any posts for years. We're a small bunch of dinosaurs keeping this going.

I totally agree. If Aimoo folds, I would recommend that we transfer to either MEWE or Gab.

Both websites support Freedom of Speech. They both have groups and pages. MEWE groups are not very active. Gab has a lot of people, pages, and groups that have left Facebook over censorship. 

I think we've all got each other's email addresses in case this suddenly folds and we have to alert everyone to a new location.

I think we've all got at least one of each others, that should be enough to spread the word if the site goes belly-up.

I totally agree. Things are not looking very good. I would recommend a website that supports Freedom of Speech. Does anyone know anything about Pro Broads at https://www.proboards.com/ ?
