Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-06-29 12:36:52Copy HTML Trump has stopped all trade deals with Canada again. Trump is up and down more times than a Vegas hooker's drawers. Trump for some reason still don't get that putting tariffs on us or anyone else only adds to what Americans will have to pay for certain thing. Tariffs are paid at the receiving end not at the front end so every America will foot the cost of any tariffs. You have probably noticed the price of cars has jumped already. Steel and aluminium will probably be next. You could have better luck buying Trump's bitcoins. Other nations have been charging the US tariffs for years. |

Karol Nawrocki, a conservative historian and staunch nationalist whose win reflects concerns about migration, national sovereignty, and cultural identity. He is a 42-year-old historian with no previous political experience. His rhetoric is "Trumpian" at times. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-06-29 01:08:52Copy HTML Mississippi Delta No Tommy would you believe Montreal Quebec Canada. All the greats moved to Montreal and it became like party central there in the 30's. Half of Buffalo showed up nightly and the line ups in the movie I seen were way down the street and around the corner. The population of Montreal grew by one third every night until around 5 am in the morning. All the clubs got all the top bands and singers of the blues up until the mid 60 and the mayor at the time needed space to build a freeway across the city to get to Expo 67 and the only space there was through the Jazz main street so he had all the night clubs torn down. Many stayed on but many also where peeved at the Mayor so much they moved back State side. Never knew that, Pete. I have heard Montreal is very modern city with lots of entertainment. I have never been there with the closest east I have been is Ottawa. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-06-30 07:47:58Copy HTML Ireland is presently being invaded by tens of thousands of Muslims, as usual, with the support and blessing of lefty politicians. In response thousands of Irish people have raised the tricolour on lampposts, buildings and homes in a show of patriotism and rebellion. The Irish governmental surrender squad has sanctioned men in vans to go around in the night removing them from private properties, such as houses but also public buildings. Not a single Palestinian flag has been removed from anywhere, including the town halls of irish towns and cities. Socialism is a mental disease |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-01 11:05:28Copy HTML War history has unforeseen consequences. Trump's decision to drop 14 bunker buster bombs on Iran could mean some kind of revenge by Iran. A bomb explodes in an American city or on a passenger plane. A lone wolf shoots up a public place with an AR-15? How would Trump respond to that? Let's look at how some prior presidents reacted in wartime situations:
Woodrow Wilson - Pushed through the Sedition Acts which restricted free speech & the press.
FDR - Locked up 120,000 Japanese Americans in camps.
George W. Bush - Created a massive, warrantless surveillance state & embraced torture. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-01 12:29:08Copy HTML All for your own good of course. Emergencies often attract restrictive measures no-one would dream of in peaceful times. The danger is when are the new restrictions relaxed? Sometimes never. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-01 01:58:15Copy HTML Trump has apparently said that he’s open to deporting Musk. Is he serious? Musk has been the best thing to happen to American manufacturing in years. All bluster and ego no doubt but be careful what you wish for Trump because the public might just side with Musk and send you packing instead Musk is profiting big time from America in the way of military contracts and large tax breaks. A large group on the right agreed with him over the folly of this so called Big Beautiful Bill they just passed because it hurts the middle and lower tax brackets with basic such as healthcare, school breakfast programs for children and veterans who aren't able to work. The female rep from Alaska at first won't vote yes for the bill until she caved by them giving her the health, food program and compensation to her fisheries people. What they gave to one State should have been given to all the States which would have been swallowed easier by all. A lot of the Republicans only out of fear about losing their jobs when Trump threatened then he wouldn't support them in the next elections if they didn't vote yes to his Bill. They ended up kissing his ring and turned their backs on their own State voters. If the people are that stupid to support those turn coats again, they should seek help. Even though Trump is getting away with deporting Brown Black and Yellow people I don't think he has started deporting pink people yet. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-01 06:05:03Copy HTML We're just a few days short of the Labour government's first anniversary. I'm willing to give any new administration a year in which they can blame the previous lot for the mess they're in, but after 12 months they have to own up to their own mistakes. Labour are very good at blaming past governments, some are still blaming Margaret Thatcher. You're playing chess with Fate and Fate's winning.

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-01 07:07:46Copy HTML NATO agrees to Trump's spending goal of 5% GDP over the next decade. Secretary Mark Rutte continued to lavish praise on Trump which of course he just ate up. Rutte was right that Trump deserves credit for helping force European allies to take their own defense more seriously. The only member to balk was Spain which Trump called "terrible" & promised to make the Spaniards pay double in any forthcoming trade deal.
Also at the summit, the U.K. announced it would buy 12 F-35A stealth jets from the U.S. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-02 07:39:25Copy HTML The Bank of England has announced it is considering dropping famous British figures from our currency to reflect modern diversity. Considering is the right word as the woke, socialist lunatics in the place have decided to pass the idea around to see the response. Why do these people hate their own country and people so much? Starmer is anti British, most socialists are, it’s a prerequisite for genuine membership these days. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-02 10:48:55Copy HTML Trump attends a photo op at the opening of "Alligator Alcatraz" in Florida. In the middle of the Everglades will house illegal brown & black folk awaiting deportation. Minimal security involved because of the location. Christy Noem there strutting her stuff, along with the sycophant Governor of Florida. Minimal security my arse. There are over 300 guards there and probably less that a 100 inmates right now. So you can see where Trump is spending all your hard earned cash. |

Re:Politics Date Posted:2025-07-04 07:23:39Copy HTML 'Spiritual warfare': Leavitt suggests supernatural powers tried to block Trump phone callWhite House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reportedly suggested that supernatural forces might have been responsible for the technical issues during President Donald Trump's recent call with faith leaders. She commented, “There is spiritual warfare as we all know. It tried to break up our call today, as the president even alluded to.” Prior to that, White House Faith Director Jenny Korn had expressed frustration with the situation, saying they were “waiting for AT&T to get its act together,” pointing to the service provider as the cause. On Monday, Trump appeared to seek technical support in a social media post, stating that a conference call with American faith leaders had experienced difficulties, which he attributed to the telecommunications company AT&T. He called on the company’s "boss, whoever that may be" to step in and address the issue. Trump also mentioned that his team might switch to a different carrier for future calls. "I’m doing a major Conference Call with Faith Leaders from all over the Country, and AT&T is totally unable to make their equipment work properly. This is the second time it’s happened. If the Boss of AT&T, whoever that may be, could get involved — It would be good. There are tens of thousands of people on the line!" Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday afternoon. |
